Neural Audio Analytics

Neural Audio Analytics: See your audio problems before they are heard

Whether pre-screening content at an ingest point or keeping tabs on the output of a broadcast air-chain, Neural Audio Analytics is the essential tool for audio measurement.

Neural Audio Analytics makes measuring audio loudness easily understandable with its set of visual displays. Each has been designed with the most common television applications in mind. Loudness can be displayed over a period of seconds, minutes or hours and logged for later troubleshooting. Surround sound audio can be displayed on the Multi-Channel scope to highlight individual channel characteristics -- even in noisy environments.

Our Neural Audio Analytics package includes both the ITU BS.1770 Loudness Standard and Neural's Loudness Measure for accurate assessments of all types of content. Used in conjunction with other Neural products, Analytics can provide information about audio loudness and imaging, both pre- and post-Neural processing. If used along with AC3 (Dolby Digital) encoding, Analytics can also reveal the impact of Meta-data parameters on audio loudness.

Key Benefits of Neural Audio Analytics

  • Tracks loudness over time and immediately identifies audio that's out of compliance
  • Offers visual surround imaging and coherence that's easy to understand using the Multi-Channel scope--even when listening is not practical
  • Logs a history of loudness levels to aid in troubleshooting broadcast streams
  • Measures audio loudness and imaging remotely with a TCP/IP-driven interface
  • Uses loudness measurements that check industry compliance, and includes Neural's Loudness Measure--proven to most accurately represent viewer perception
  • Can be used in conjunction with Neural Loudness Control and Neural Surround MultiMerge as a complete solution for measurement, logging, loudness correction and surround imaging

Applications

DTV facilities, Production studios, Ingest Points, Mobile Production. Commonly used in front of STL paths, Dolby-E or AC-3 encoders.

CUSTOMER QUOTES
"We were very pleased with the performance of the Neural surround technology, as it met or exceeded all of our criteria."
